Today we received a call from a Waterloo resident who received a call that said Ameren has taken over Waterloo accounts and that they are behind on payments. They were then told that their electric would be disconnected in 20 minutes if a payment was not made. Luckily this resident called us before sending any money and quickly found out this is a scam.
