⚠️BOIL WATER ORDER ⚠️
The City of Waterloo has issued a city-wide boil-water order in response to a water main break in the Illinois American Water line system. The break occurred in Millstadt, Illinois. Standard procedure for a boil order is to be in effect for at least 24 to 36 hours after water is restored. We will notify when the boil order has been lifted.
Residents are advised to bring their water to a rolling boil for five minutes before using water for drinking or cooking purposes.
Retail Food Service Establishments should follow the “Operating Guidelines in an Event of a Boil Water Order” given to them by the Monroe County Health Department.
