The City of Waterloo provides its residents with the utilities needed to maintain their homes and property. Our goal is to provide, maintain and service these utilities in the most proficient and cost effective manner.

With up-to-date equipment and highly trained and skilled professionals, each department installs and maintains all their respective utility lines within the city limits. As a city function, these services are also available for emergencies during non-working hours through an on-call rotation system that allows for a quick response time. City of Waterloo utility department employees undergo intensive training and subsequent continuous testing in order to insure safety in the field for themselves and for consumers.
Utility services may be applied for at the Waterloo City Hall. A security deposit for each utility is required for new customers and automatically refunded after timely payment for twelve consecutive months.
