The Illinois State Police have informed us of details for Trooper Hopkins funeral and procession arrangements.
Visitation - Saturday, August 31st from 3-9pm at Waterloo High School
Funeral - Sunday, September 1st at 10am at Waterloo High School
Procession - projected to depart the Waterloo High School on Sunday, September 1st at approximately 12:00 Noon, and will travel at a low speed.
Please be aware that intersections along the route will be blocked to allow for safe travel of the vehicles in the procession.
The public is highly encouraged to line the route to show support.
The route is as follows - -
The Procession will leave Waterloo High School,
Head west on E Bulldog toward South Market Street,
Turn right at the 1st cross street onto South Market Street,
Head north on South Market Street toward Hartmann Street,
Turn right onto IL-Route 3,
Turn right onto South Main Street in Columbia,
Head northwest on South Main Street toward East Jefferson Street,
Turn left onto Parkview Drive,
Turn left onto IL-Route 3,
Turn left on Park Street,
Park Street turns left and becomes South Church Street,
Turn right onto West 4th Street,
Turn left onto Rogers Street,
Turn left onto East 1st Street,
Turn right into the Cemetery on South entrance from East 1st Street.
The Procession ends at Waterloo City Cemetery located at the corner of Rogers Street and Hamacher Street
